Michael H. Kahn, Ph.D.

Photo of Michael KahnMichael H. Kahn, Ph.D. is Co-founder of PRA (1994) and the Director of Mind-Body Resources. He earned his doctorate in psychology from Miami University in 1976. Dr. Kahn is a Clinical and Health Psychologist providing individual and group psychotherapy, and stress management workshops.

His extensive work with stress and the challenges people face with medical problems led to the development of the Hardiness for Hard Times® Stress Management & Health Skills Enhancement Program.

Dr. Kahn has been on the medical staff at Anne Arundel Medical Center and North Arundel Hospital, and an Adjunct Professor in Health Care Sciences at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He is certified by the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis and is a member of the Maryland and American Psychological Associations.

Dr. Kahn incorporates eclectic psychotherapy methods with self-regulation methods (relaxation methods, meditation, and self-hypnosis) and the tools of coaching to help his clients take charge of their lives from a position of inner strength.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Kahn is a professional coach and is currently writing a book on the methods successful business executives use to manage the pressures of their work. It is expected to be published in 2008.
